Developed by Oscar E. Swan, University of Pittsburgh
This English-Polish Phrase Guide is intended for the traveler in Poland as well as for the increasing numbers of English-speaking people living and working in Poland for extended periods of time. It is a guide to basic Polish expressions, arranged by topic and in order of increasing complexity, serving as both a handbook for getting around Poland and an elementary textbook for those interested in learning to communicate in Polish.
Accompanying audio ensures that pronunciation and intonation are taught in a natural, reliable way, by imitating a native speaker. There is a brief overview of Polish grammar at the beginning, and most sections include a selection of important words in their most frequently used forms.
