For over 40 years, Audio-Forum® has been the original and most trusted source for Foreign Service Institute language courses.

About the Language
The Fula or Fulani language belongs to the Senegambian branch of the Niger-Congo language family. It is the primary language of the Fula or Fulani people and related groups, predominantly in West Africa, but also in central and northern Africa. While there are numerous varieties of Fula, it is generally regarded as a single language. There are approximately 24 million speakers in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d'Ivoire, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, and Togo.
