About the Language
Moré (also known as Mossi), an African language of the Niger-Congo family, is the language of the Mossi people, spoken by approximately five million people in Burkina Faso, where it is one of two official regional languages. It is also is spoken natively in Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, and Togo. Moré is closely related to and mutually intelligible with the Dagbani language spoken in northern Ghana.
